Data Guardian — request account and data deletion
This page is for the Android app Data Guardian
(package com.mekanix.passman), published by ToolsForTheMasses.
What kind of “account” this is
Data Guardian does not create a username and password of its own.
Optional Cloud Backup and Time Capsule use Sign in with Google
(OAuth). That links your existing Google account to those features.
The in-app PIN and biometrics are a local lock on the phone; they are not an online account.
How to request deletion
- Email cezar.lucan@gmail.com from the same Gmail address you used in Data Guardian. Subject: Data Guardian account deletion.
- In the message, write that you want all Time Capsule / Cloud Backup records for that Google account deleted.
- We will delete the matching records on the Data Guardian Time Capsule server and confirm by email. Target: within 14 days.
You can also do the following yourself at any time:
- In the app: Time Capsule → Disable (for each database you armed).
- Google account: Google Account → Security → Third-party apps → remove Data Guardian / PD Guardian access.
- Google Drive: delete folders created by the app, such as
PassmanTimeCapsule and PassmanBkps.
- On the phone: uninstall the app (local vault stays only if you copied the database files elsewhere).
Data that is deleted
When we process your request we delete Time Capsule server data for that Google account, including:
- Google account email and Google user id
- Device identifiers stored for Time Capsule
- Recipient email lists, delay settings, heartbeat times
- Google Drive file ids and the stored Drive refresh token
Data that is not deleted by us (or is kept briefly)
- Your Google account itself (only Google can close that).
- Files in your Google Drive, until you delete them.
- The encrypted password database on your device, until you uninstall or delete those files.
- Email we already received from you, for up to 30 days, only to complete and confirm the request.
- Backups or logs on the server, if any, for up to 30 days, then they are removed.
